I first met Dave my first year of teaching at UW. He and I shared the same passion for encouraging students to get involved in their community. I had always meant to ask him for a lesson in how to play bridge - I hear he was quite the bridge player. My deepest sympathies to Dave's family.

Jill, I was sorry to hear about the passing of your father, no matter how old we are it is difficult to lose a parent. I have read some of the tributes posted here about your father, he sounds like he was an amazing man. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers Jill. xo Sheila O'Donovan

Joe Mancini, The Working Centre
I have known David for years, but this past year we worked on three projects together. His energy was incredible, and especially his passion for teaching students how to be focused on the community good. David was wonderfully spirited and I feel fortunate to recently have so many lively and interesting conversations. I am particularly grateful for the assistance he offered The Working these last 8 months. He offered good spirit to all and he will be sadly missed.

Dave was a good colleague and mentor to me when both of us were members of the Board of Governors at St. Paul's University College. He was such a positive, sensible man. I very much enjoyed working with him, and I will miss him greatly.

Brian Hunt former student and friend
I had the opportunity to first learn from Dave in the classroom at the U of Windsor about the Accounting and Auditing Profession. Then as I got to know Dave I learned alot about life and what a truly great person he was. It is a very sad day. He will be missed by so many of us that he touched throughout his life.

David, you were a stalwart in our community and gave so much of yourself to the less fortunate and several worthy causes. I recall the great times we had together during our visits to grant applicants, while at KWCF.

Dave was a wonderful professor, mentor and advisor. He truely touched our lives and we are so thankful to have had him as a mentor and friend. He was always one to make time in his busy schedule to lend an ear and provide sound advice to his students. He will very much be missed.
